A trip down memory lane.

A recent CakeWrecks post got me thinking of cartoons from when I was young. And-oddly-it seems that many people missed these great pieces of tv history. So, I'm on a mission to resurrect them just for those people (er...person...well, just you, Linds!)

Remember this one?

Gummi Bears! Bouncing here and there and everywhere!

Or how about this one?

I TOLD you it was real! It came on with Capt. Kangaroo!

Here's one I bet you had toys to go with:

And, last in this episode of Flashback 2 the 80s:

I'm, er, proud to admit that my own child has gleefully driven around a purple-haired creature in a carrot car with cookie wheels.

Somehow, after watching these, it makes me sad for her. Wubbzy and Dora just don't cut it.

Okay I am getting a vague recollection of the Gummy Bears, I loved the Raisins and rocked with the Fraggles but this Polka Dot Door business? You will never convince me that this show was anything more than a hastily thrown together clip you created on your computer so you could save face :) And I agree-they do not make them like they used too! Thanks for the recap!

I'm not that good, lol! The babysitter didn't have cable, so we watched KET until the regular cartoons came on the other channels.

We downloaded every episode of the gummi bears last year and the kids love them. (so do we!) But I'm with Lindsay on the Polka Dot Door. Entirely made up. Oh and we didn't have cable until I was in 8th or 9th grade...sooo... Although I guess at my babysitters we were watching The People's Court, so I wouldn't know what was on KET. :)
